Ukodhiko Celebrates Prof. Azinge’s Ascension As 14th Asagba of Asaba
Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has congratulated Prof. Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, on his emergence as the 14th Asagba of Asaba.
The House of Representatives member in a statement on Monday, at Abuja, described Prof. Azinge as a man of remarkable calmness, studious disposition, coherent articulation, eloquence and visionary leadership.
Extolling the former Director-General and Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, the Isoko Federal lawmaker hailed the peaceful exercise of the Asaba traditions that saw to the emergence of Prof. Azinge as the 14th Asagba.
Hon. Ukodhiko urged the newly crowned Asagba of Asaba to emulate the exemplary works of his late predecessor, Professor Joseph Chike Edozien, especially in fostering unity between Asaba and other kingdoms of Delta State.
He noted that, “Obi Azinge has been devoted to service in the noblest professions, which is teaching. He’s highly regarded in the nation’s academia and legal firmament for his exceptional brilliance, focus, diligence, discipline, and principles.
Hon. Ukodhiko said; “On behalf of my family and the entire Isoko North/South Federal Constituency, I extend my warmest congratulations to a maverick legal scholar and seasoned administrator, Professor Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, on his emergence as the 14th Asagba of Asaba.
“Obi Prof. Azinge is an illustrious Deltan with pedigree, and unblemished career in both profession of teaching and law, marked by outstanding successes and unquantifiable contributions to nation-building.
“Your Majesty, I am confident you will exceed all expectations as the new Asagba and principal custodian of the traditions of Asaba given your innate wisdom, wealth of experience, influence and unflappable desire, you will bring to bear in charting greater future for the development of Asaba.” Hon.
